I recently completed my PADI Open Water diver certification with International Scuba in Carrollton and it was a fantastic experience! From selecting and purchasing my personal gear in the shop, to the pool training and the weekend at Scuba Ranch for the open water training dives, the staff at IS were all incredibly knowledgable, friendly and open to sharing their passion for diving with all of us newbies. Big shout out to my awesome instructor Al Toon who did a great job balancing teaching all the important safety precautions while also making learning enjoyable. Al quickly alleviated any early anxiety I had about diving. The small training class size allowed for a lot of personalized attention especially for folks who learn at a different paces. I had a great experience with International Scuba. I got my personal gear from the shop in Carrollton, and they were sure to get me fitted and make sure I was comfortable. The lady even showed me the pool after helping me with my gear. At the pool and lake (the Scuba Ranch in Terrell), my instructor Renée Swank and her husband Kevin Swank ensured I knew what was going on and felt confident with my skills and abilities. They answered all my questions and made sure I knew how to dive safely. I had lots of fun, and I feel good knowing I got my Open Water Scuba Certification with a group of people who are knowledgeable, kind, and cool! They even donate money to the PADI Aware Foundation! If you want to learn to dive as a beginner with no experience (or even a pro), I definitely recommend this shop.

International Scuba made the process simple and straightforward. Had great service from Mim in the Frisco Shop and an excellent pool experience in Carrolton and at Scuba Ranch. Our instructor Joe was really informative and got us not only certified but really comfortable with diving.

I highly recommend Internal Scuba. I recently took their Open Water Diving Course. The course has an online section, a confined water section (pool) and finishes with an open water section (lake). The whole process was well done, and I learned the skills needed to start diving. I was highly impressed by my instructor, Bill Strum, as he went the extra mile to help me work through skill areas that I was slow to pick up in the lake section of the course. The dives I have taken since the class were hugely positive experiences and I’m grateful for the part Internal Scuba and Bill played.
