Swimming makes water a place to spend time, get fit, and eventually explore with a tank on your back. At International Scuba’s Swim Tribe program, we teach swimmers of every age, from babies taking their first splash to adults who have spent years steering clear of the deep end. We have fond memories of pool playtime with family and friends, and want to help others have their own fun experiences.
Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children ages 1 to 4 and the second leading cause for children ages 5 to 14, according to CDC data covering 2018 to 2021. Swim Tribe exists because water competence is a teachable skill, and we take that instruction seriously.

A four-level progression that takes swimmers from first-time floaters to confident, independent swimmers. Every level has clear skill benchmarks, and advancement is based on demonstrated proficiency rather than age or time in the program. We work with beginners as young as three and with new swimmers of any age, starting from scratch.

Whether you’re learning from scratch or cleaning up what you already have, adult swim instruction with the Swim Tribe is patient, professional, and built around where you actually are. Sessions start with an honest assessment of current ability and move at a pace that builds real skill, not just poolside familiarity. Many adult swim students go on to earn their PADI Open Water Diver certification through International Scuba’s scuba program. The water has more to offer than you might think.
Why Swim Tribe?
International Scuba has been a scuba instruction center since 1998. Our instructors are working dive professionals, instructors, and divemasters who hold active PADI certifications and dive themselves. That background shapes how we teach. We understand how people actually build water competence, not just how to run a class schedule.
Every program follows the same approach: skill-based, proficiency-driven instruction in a supportive environment. No one moves forward until they can demonstrate the skill consistently, and no one is made to feel behind for taking the time they need. The goal is genuine water competence, the kind that keeps people safe and confident for life.
Indoor, Heated Pool: Year-Round Classes
The Swim Tribe pool is indoors and heated to 90 degrees year-round. It is 4' deep on both ends and 8' deep in the middle. Swim lessons are held in the shallow ends.
Because the pool is climate-controlled, classes run on a consistent schedule regardless of season or weather. There is no summer-only enrollment window and no waiting for outdoor conditions to cooperate. Families can start at any point in the year and work through a full progression without a gap.
The facility is part of International Scuba’s Carrollton location, which also houses the full dive shop and scuba training operation. Parking is available directly in front of the suite in the Marsh Lane shopping center.
Classes for Every Age and Ability
Swim Tribe teaches swimmers from six months old through adults. Programs are organized by age and skill level, with placement based on an honest assessment of where each swimmer actually is, not just age or a prior program’s level designation.

All Swim Tribe classes are held at our Carrollton location only: 2540 Marsh Lane, Ste 128, Carrollton, TX 75006. Swim lessons are not offered at the Frisco location.
We teach swimmers from 6 months through adults. Baby classes start at 6 months, kids’ programs run through age 12, and adult lessons are open to anyone 13 and up.
Group lessons are $30 per class. Private lessons are $60 per class.
A swimsuit, a towel, and goggles (recommended for older levels). We provide all in-water equipment needed.
That’s exactly where many students start. Our instructors work with each child at their own pace and do not push past where the child is ready to go. Progress is built on real comfort, not on the calendar.
Yes! Adult learners are often more focused and motivated than kids, and the process moves accordingly. Many of our adult swim students go on to earn their PADI scuba certification. There is no age limit for water safety and fun.
