I've been diving for over 30 years, and the love of my life wanted to get certified as well. We researched the best Scuba Shops in DFW, and we found International Scuba. Wow! The reviews were exactly right. They have a pool in the building for both basic and advanced training, and they have the best gear at a fair price. The best part is they have both local and international trips all over the world. We leaped in on a trip to Little Cayman that was shockingly affordable for some of the best diving on the planet! The community is filled with very advanced divers, so you learn something new on every dive. We were inspired to get advanced open water to refine our skills and it was a game changer! Then we took another trip to Bahamas. Our first live aboard where we had the entire boat from International Scuba. We new a couple people from the last trip and met many more that have now become lifelong friends! Come join us on our next adventure!!!!

My son & I took a refresher class as it has been a few years since we've been able to dive. Kevin S was our instructor and he was amazing. Patient, caring, informative and kind. He made the experience fun (even the book review). The price was also the best we could find in the DFW area. I highly recommend International Scuba and Kevin S!!

I scuba dived in the 70's and 80's and then took about 30 years off. Decided to get re-certified by PADI and chose International Scuba here in Carrollton because of the great reviews. I learned a lot and hopefully corrected some bad habits. The instructor Leora and Dive Master Matt were excellent. Class size 5 with 2 instructors including Matt. They were very accommodating with my open water dive as I had a conflict. Would highly recommend them and look forward to diving with them.

I have taken several professional level courses at International Scuba and have been impressed EVERY SINGLE TIME! When it comes to everything you want in a dive shop, International Scuba checks off all the boxes. From time to time I hang out at the dive shop signature Deco Lounge and socialize with dive shop employees and regular customers. It's a great atmosphere and place to hang out to swap dive trip stories and diving experiences in general. I've gone on dive shop sponsored trips with International Scuba and they are "off the hook!" I'm astonished at the review below by Brian Woodward. I have a feeling there's much more to that story that Brian Woodward isn't sharing! Sort of comical that he originally obviously gave a very positive review and then took it back. Notice the old "Thank You" reply from the owner when the original review was posted. Anyway, take it from me and the many, many other people that have posted positive reviews for International Scuba, IT'S EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT FROM A DIVE SHOP! International Scuba is a very busy and progressive dive shop that focuses of providing outstanding, safe, "by the book" training. They don't hand out certifications just because you paid your money. Instead they really seem to pride themselves on making people really good and safe divers and will offer remedial training if needed. I also like how they limit their class sizes to 6 divers. I've seen some places that have crazy amounts of students all in one class. I have to question how good of quality dive education students get in that sort of environment. I also think it's really cool because International Scuba has their own swimming pool. You get to do everything right there at the dive shop, until it's time to go to the lake to do check out dives. Keep up the great work International Scuba. I hope to get back real soon to continue my training. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Great Dive shop and great instructors for my open water certification. Leora, Mike and Divemaster Matt take a safety first approach, walking you through all the basic skills in class, in the pool, and finally in open water. They are patient, but want you to clearly demonstrate the skills and won't cut corners when it comes to safety. I would liken the OW certification to a learner's permit, you learn enough to keep you and your buddy safe at medium depth, but there is so much more to learn after certification and the IS community supports that continued education (and fun) after your first dive. Great shop.

My friend and I got our open water certification and two others. The instructors were fantastic. Micah led us through the pool portion. Beth led our review, and helped at the lake along with Bill and Todd. They were patient, accommodating of schedule changes, and their confidence and knowledge really helped us feel at ease with an intimidating activity.

I obtained my open water certification with this shop and it was a great experience from the beginning to the end. I had some special requests due to my time schedule and the staff did everything they could to help me out. Thumbs up especially for Beth, Jeanette and Troy. They are great instructors not just for their knowledge, but for the time and patience they gave to me. I will definitely get my advance open water certification here.

I went to international scuba to get my Advanced Open Water certification after I got left with a week before a trip and no place to be certified with. Rich and Beth worked with my schedule to squeeze in my certification before my trip! Would definitely recommend this shop to anyone.
