The DFW area has several good dive shops along with a few very bad ones. I have done business with and taken classes at number of them. International has quickly become my favorite. The shop carries a nice range of equipment and can quickly get just about anything else. The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgable. Where they really shine is in the training area. IS has a huge number of excellent instructors and can offer pretty much any dive training you could want. They also have an excellent dive travel business.

International Scuba is attentive to your individual needs ALWAYs. It is not just a business it is their passion. Patti trained my husband and 2 boys back in in 2002. I was certified in 2009. Took me a while and would not have done it without the encouragement and patience of not only Patti but by everyone involved in the training. I am forever grateful as it is a passion of our family. We all still dive, we are AOW and our son's GF was recently certified and loves it. They love what they do and they are there for you. We are getting ready to take off for Cozumel. I took the Open Water Diver course with them. It was not an easy course for me to take with not really being comfortable in the water. While they do uphold the training standards, they have gone beyond and above what I expected to assist me in getting certified. The instructors I have dealt with are there to see people get properly trained and certified to being able join in with enjoying the experience that they love.

At 75 I was not sure if this was something I could do. Patti at International assured me that I could. There is not a single thing that could happen on a scuba dive that was not covered in the five days of instruction. Keith was a great instructor he made it as much fun as such a serious subject could be.( Learning to breath and be safe underwater is a serious subject you know.) During the open water classes we had up to four instructors watching everyone from several vantage points to make sure no one was in trouble. I felt very safe. I was having a problem with one skill, and they took me aside and we did a one-on-one lesson until I was able to master it. I had a problem with my new BCD, but International exchanged it without any question, and fitted me with a new one. Thanks to all of the instructors especially Crissy, Lauri, Mike and both Aaron's. All of the others were great too, but I can't remember all the names. Thanks everyone. Now, off to Maui to use my new found knowledge.

My first trip to Cozumel and my first Drift Dive. Being a new diver ( under 20 dives) I was a little apprehensive about the currents off Cozumel. After the first dive with International Scuba of Carrollton Tx. and Dive Paradise Cozumel, my fears disappeared. What a great trip. Owners Patti and Brian had everything planned to a tee. Just be, where they tell you to be, and they take care of everything else. The company they use in Cozumel, Dive Paradise is the best. Dive masters Victor and Mike are just great. If your are new to scuba or an experienced diver, you won't go wrong with International Scuba.
