My first experience with International Scuba was on a trip to Akamal and Playa Dell Carmen. On this trip I met Patti Stewart and was impressed with her professional approach to diving. I had been diving for 15 years and she encouraged me to go for a Master Scuba Diver certification. She put me through the remaining certifications I needed to qualify and I became a MSD at age 76. The Rescue cert. was difficult for me but I made it. Subsequently I went on the most adventurous dive trip of all with Rich Thomas, IDCS. This was cavern diving near Tulum. All divers should do this with Rich. Incidentally, Rich made me do the rescue part twice because I did not count seconds correctly. I am 82 now and have many fond memories with International Scuba.

This dive shop is awesome! The certification class made us feel very comfortable and ready for an open water dive on our trip. We have made several dives since and we always feel that we were very well prepared and knowledgeable.

I took my 12 year old son for a scuba lesson. He loved it! They made him feel very comfortable and talked him through every step. He wanted to go back for a 2nd lesson and he wanted me to join him!
